Graphene can be added to thermoplastics, such as Nylon, for injection moulding applications as well as thermoset resins such as epoxy, polyurethane and polyester resin for cold casting or vacuum casting.

Graphene Star Concrete Additives contain a form of graphene nanoplatelets. Graphene nanoplatelets are particles consisting of multiple layers of graphene.  This nano-material was selected for the unique and performance-enhancing characteristics it provides to concrete. During the formation and curing of cement, these tiny micro-platelets are able to take up space previously filled by air.  Less air means higher density and higher density is directly related to performance improvements in flexural strength, abrasion resistance, impact strength and toughness.

ABOUT GRAPHENE

Graphene sheet is a two-dimensional carbon allotrope. It is a versatile material with remarkable properties. It is light and strong  which means that it can be integrated into a huge number of applications.  Graphene also improves the performance and efficiency of current materials and substances, for example lithium batteries, but it also has potential to develop alongside other two-dimensional crystals to create even more compounds to suit a wider range of graphene applications. Graphene production is inextricably linked to application development.

The discovery of graphene involved scientists literally dissecting a piece of graphite layer by layer until only one single layer remained. The result was a one atom thick new material known as graphene.
