GS Graphite additive for energy saving paints and primers
GS Graphite additive is a specially treated natural graphite that reflects infrared radiation or radiant heat and allows you to create a heat-insulating coating with a thickness of only 80-100 microns. Any paint or water-based primer can be used as the basis for such a coating, for example, the most affordable and common white acrylic primer.
Just add the additive to the paint and mix thoroughly.
Graphite additive particles have high reflective properties in the thermal infrared range, similar to aluminum or copper foil. At the same time, unlike foil, GS additive-based coatings are vapor-permeable or breathable, which is very important for human comfort and to prevent the formation of moisture inside the house. The additive-based coating has a grey or dark grey color and can be easily painted with any finishing paint.
Graphite additive allows you to dramatically reduce the thermal conductivity (λ) of the acrylic primer, up to 0.022 W/ m K.
